Waiting for light Posted December 14, 2018 by admin

A seasonal reflection from our Life After Detention group

At Christmas …

I celebrate that I am free – I spent Christmas and my birthday in Yarls Wood last year

There is more light and colour – and gifts of bright socks

I enjoy parties with friends; being together; talking

I find my mind is not working

I think of …

A world waiting for light

Splintered families

I hope for …

Papers, so I can see my mum, my husband, my niece

Presents. Sometimes my children get gifts from the health visitor and it makes them happy and excited. I love to see their smiles.

Good news for everyone

All people having many happy Christmases

Better things for each of us.
